Do I need an account or a credit card to try it?
No. Your first 3 transforms need no account at all. Sign up for a free account and you get 5 free transforms every month. No credit card is needed for Free.
What counts as one transform?
Each click of Generate Output counts as one transform, regardless of file size or row count. Loading files, configuring fields, previewing output and downloading the file you just generated don't count. TangoCheck validation (Solo and Team) never uses a transform either. See the full definition.
What happens when I hit my limit on Free?
The Generate Output button will prompt you to upgrade. Upgrading to Solo or Team unlocks unlimited transforms and the ability to save and reuse your configurations as templates.
How does annual billing work?
Annual plans are billed upfront at a 17% discount, so Solo works out to $7.50 a month ($90 a year) and Team to $24.17 a month ($290 a year). Monthly plans ($9 and $29) renew on the same date each month.
Can I change or cancel my plan?
Yes — upgrade, switch billing interval or cancel anytime from your account. All plan changes go through the Stripe billing portal. When you upgrade mid-cycle, Stripe automatically credits the unused value of your current plan against the new plan cost, so you only pay the difference. If you cancel, you keep full access until the end of your current billing period.
What payment methods do you accept?
All major credit and debit cards — Visa, Mastercard and Amex — processed securely through Stripe. You can update your payment method anytime from the billing portal.
How do Team plans work?
The Team plan supports up to 5 users. The owner invites colleagues by email — existing users get a sign-in link, new users create a free account. Everyone gets unlimited transforms and access to the shared template library from day one. Members and shared templates are managed from the Team Settings panel.
Is my data any different on a paid plan?
No. Every plan works the same way: files are processed entirely in your browser and never uploaded. TangoText records anonymised usage events for analytics (output format, row count), but file contents are never part of those events.
